Three things people don’t know about you?

I work best under pressure, under the influence or when really depressed.

What’s your greatest fear?

That I will never be able to realize all my dreams.

What is your greatest achievement?

Living on my own terms. So far, so good.

High point of your life?

Still waiting for it.

Low point of your life

Yet to come I suppose, or maybe I am just too much of an optimistic and the low has come and gone. I will figure it out a little later in life.

Which living person do you most admire?

Almost anyone who I find to be inherently good, humble, and happy. If I had to pick one living person for the sake of an answer, I think it would be Bill Gates. Such a brilliant mind, such humility in spite of the excessive wealth and I have always only seen him smile. A true role model.

Who is your favorite fictional hero?

Err...God? I mean he is supposedly perfect and yet he can be so biased and flawed sometimes. Fascinating figure nevertheless.

Who is your favorite fictional villain?

God, again. For the exact same reason as above.

Who are your favorite authors?

Munshi Premchand, Franz Kafka.

What are your 5 favorite books of all time?

Midnight's Children, A Brief History of Time, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Shantaram, Panchtantra and all of Munshi Premchand and Kafka's works.

Is there a book you love to reread?

The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.

What are your 5 favorite movies of all time?

I live movies, and I want to make some myself someday. For me, it is incredibly hard to list only 5 but here you go - To Kill a Mockingbird, Sergio Leone's Man with No Name or Dollars trilogy, Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings Trilogy, One Flew Over Cuckoo's Nest, Any of Andrei Tarkovsky's movies, Any of Akira Kurosawa's movies. There are just so many gems out there. It is overwhelming!

One Superpower you wish you had?

Immortality. Just to find out how life on earth finally ends. And if there are indeed aliens planning on visiting us sometime in future.

Your epitaph would read? /Last line in your biography would be?

He was a kind man. The kindest of his kind.

If you had a time machine to take you back to any country and any time period, where would you choose to be for your childhood, adolosent , adult life and silver years?

I would love to relive all of my time in a small town or village in Europe of today. Silver years in modern Tibet won't be a bad proposition either.

If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

Dancing.

Which book you wish you had written ?

All of Kafka's works.

When and where do you write ?

In my room, on my laptop, whenever I feel like writing.

Silence or music?

Music, because silence can be deafening at times.

One phrase that you use most often?

Nothing comes to mind.

Do you have a writing ritual / superstition?

I usually plug in my earphones, without any music playing, to concentrate better while writing.

What’s your guilty reading pleasure?

Do recipes count? If not, then teen detective novels like Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew.

Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?

Yes. Be true to yourself and your readers when writing. You will find it is much easier to express an honest thought in words, than a made-up one.
