Three things people don’t know about you?

Most movies can get me teary-eyed, I started enjoying learning much later in life, and was quite a hopeless student, when in school, I have a sausage dog, a Dachshund named Milo.

What’s your greatest fear?

Fear of snakes & fear of losing my memory

What is your greatest achievement?

Adding hope, value and positivity to the lives of those around me, especially to the lives of those who have reached out to me in complete distress & despair.

High point of your life?

Bouncing back after each of my failures (too many to count)

Low point of your life

Being bed-ridden & completely disabled for more than 6 months due to an illness.

My grand mother

Arundhati Roy, Virginia Wolf, Kiran Desai, Toni Morrison, Amitabh Ghosh, Murakami, Rabindra Nath Tagore, Barbara Park, Charles Dickens, and many more.

What are your 5 favorite books of all time?

The God of Small Things by Roy, Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard by Desai, Celestine Prophecy by Redfield, The Secret by Byrne and the Animal Farm by Orwell. As a child, I loved The Naughtiest Girl in the School by Enid Blyton and as a teen, I adored Doctors by Erich Segal.

What are your 5 favorite movies of all time?

Lion King, Sound of Music, Ben Hur, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Bahubali and many, many, many more!

If you had a time machine to take you back to any country and any time period, where would you choose to be for your childhood, adolosent , adult life and silver years?

Childhood: Disneyland, Orlando, right in the middle of Summer vacation, surrounded by my family. Adolescent: Rajasthan, With the Prince, Princesses and the splendour of the royal life. Adult Life: Switzerland, Basel, a quiet picnic by the river Rhine. Silver Years: No idea. Anywhere pretty, surrounded by the people I love!

If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

I would like to be able to speak Spanish, French & Mandarin, all at once

On bits of paper, Moleskin diaries, and laptops. Anytime, anywhere.

Writers are the eyes and the ears of the society. Observe more, judge less and keep an open mind.

Prionka is a writer, communication consultant, trainer and a mentor to kids-at-risk. Her passion lies in understanding people and in being an advocate for change. She enjoys constant learning, whether formal or informal, and has multiple certifications in communication, a Post Graduation in Advertising & PR, a degree in Hospitality Management and a second degree in English & Psychology. Originally from India, Prionka has lived in Switzerland and Hong Kong, before settling down in Singapore, where she lives with her husband and her two daughters.
