That I am extremely introvert and rarely open up in a social gathering. I hate parties. I am crazy about road trips.
Falling from the top (of a building)
Of course, being the Gold Medallist in MBA from my batch. Having my book published is something I cherish as well.
My three years in Jadavpur University, is by far, the highest point of my life. My outlook and perspective towards life completely changed and I believe, I became a much more sensible human being.
See, as creative persons, we are fragile, moody, eccentric at times and highly emotion driven. We might be instantly happy and perennially sad. I have some or the other low point daily in my life, some stay for a while and some are just like a morning dream. Before you realize, poof! They are gone.
I don’t know why but I admire Shah Rukh Khan a lot. Also I am a big fan of Amartya Sen, Jhumpa Lahiri and Arundhati Roy
There’s no hero as such, but I feel Batman is more realistic and relatable.
Joker, who else!
Rabindranath Tagore, Ruskin Bond, Taslima Nasreen, Amartya Sen, Buddhadeb Guha, Sunil Gangopadhyay, Geoffrey Archer and Jhumpa Lahiri. I have of late started reading Ken Liu and it seems I am pretty glued to his works.
Introduction to the Constitution of India by Durgadas Basu (I know it’s not a book, book), The Argumentative Indian by Amartya Sen, The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri, The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri, And then one day: A Memoir by Naseeruddin Shah

I wish I could meet every single Indian for 30 minutes, know about them and write a story on them. Imagine, I will be the only author with 1.3 billion short stories.
I am the poet of your midnight.
Oh I would love to go back to the time of Satyajit Ray and beg him to make me his apprentice.
I wish I was a better writer.
All books by Khaled Hosseini. I feel his work is plain biased. Fifty Shades of Grey. I could have put in a bit of story in it, I believe.
Depends. At least 90% of my debut novel “And then, she said yes!”was written in coffee shops, trains while I was traveling. There’s no specific spot or place. I feel I write well when I am all by myself.
Silence, any day!
We are the maker of our own destiny.
Nope, nothing as such
I love reading cook-books.
Just keep writing folks, this world is a judgmental world and you will not be able to make everyone happy. So try small, make yourself happy.
Coming from a creative background, Rajarshi Motilal’s idea of life was always to make it more interesting. Even though being an author was not a childhood dream, with time, writing became an integral part of his growing up. Expressing his thought and feelings became easier for Rajarshi in the pages of his diary. Apart from diary writing, Rajarshi is a regular blogger and a voracious reader. Jeffrey Archer and Jhumpa Lahiri are his favourite authors. Rajarshi has a deep interest in debating and extempore right from his school days. Currently employed as a Project Manager with a French Software Multinational, Rajarshi still finds solace in writing and travelling. He says, even if he fails as an author, he will not stop writing because being an author was never on his wish list, he has always written for himself. So, if tomorrow no one reads his book, he will continue writing, just for himself. A diehard fan of Panel Discussions, Bob Dylan and Graphic Novels, Rajarshi takes pride in his Graphic Novel Collection. The best way to contact Rajarshi Motilal is through his official Facebook Page:www.facebook.com/rajarshimo or his website: www.rajarshimotilal.com
