Subramoniam Rangaswami is Professor of Eminence in Medical Education and former Vice Chancellor of Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai. He completed his basic medical education in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and acquired a postgraduate qualification from the Central Institute of Orthopaedics, New Delhi. He held several university teaching positions before proceeding to the UK for further training in Orthopaedics. The five years he spent at the University of Liverpool and the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, UK, provided him with a rich blend of academic and clinical experience in several areas of Orthopaedic Surgery. Rangaswami is interested in reading, visual arts, music and the emerging concepts in the evolution of consciousness. E-sclepieion, a futuristic science fiction novel authored by him was released in 2011. Rangaswami now lives in Bangalore. He can be contacted at rangaswami43@gmail.com.
